CONWAY, Ark. - Megan Giles picked up her sixth and seventh assists of the season, including the set up for the game-winning goal in double-overtime, as the Oral Roberts women's soccer team defeated Central Arkansas on Friday, 2-1.

After the home team put in the tying goal in the 82nd minute off the foot off Kristin Pollard, and an uneventful first overtime period that featured just one shot, Giles set up the game-winner for Allison Hall. Taking the pass from Giles, Hall booted the ball from about 12 yards out to close the contest.

It was Hall's third goal of the season.

Friday's contest was the regular season finale, as the Golden Eagles closed their first Southland Conference schedule with a 5-3 record and 11-6-2 overall. ORU will have to wait until the completion of the final contest on Friday evening to find out who they will face in the conference tournament, to be held in Lake Charles, La.

The loss for the Bears keeps them from qualifying from the conference tournament.

The Golden Eagle victory also marks the most wins for the program since the 2004 season, when they finished 14-6-1. ORU's record in overtime matches moves to 5-2-2.

Very early in the contest, the Golden Eagles put the opening goal on the board in the sixth minute of action. This time Giles crossed the ball into the box, setting up a sliding Kayla Keller for the goal, her sixth of the season. It was one final statement for Keller in her bid for the conference freshman of the year award.

Freshman Maddie Rhodes finished the match in goal for the Golden Eagles, earning her second victory of the season. Teammate Helen Erb got the start, sending back three UCA shots.

The two squads were even throughout the match, with the Golden Eagles holding a 5-3 shot advantage in the first half, while the home team outshot ORU 5-4 in the second. The Golden Eagles recorded both shots during the overtime periods.

Keller led the Golden Eagles will three shots, while eight other Golden Eagles took a shot each. Of the starters, excluding the keeper, eight took shots, including shots on goal by Ashley Martin, Keller, Hall and Giles.
