Tori Dollar and the Golden Eagles fell to SFA on Saturday

ORU’s two victories came in singles play, with both Marizanne Bouwer and Tori Dollar winning three-setters. Bouwer won the No. 2 singles match, 7-5, 3-6, 10-7, over Julia Lorca, and Dollar won on court four, a 6-4, 2-6, 10-6 victory over Kateryna Bugayenko.
ORU also got a victory at No. 1 doubles, where Bouwer and Haley Martin knocked off Lorca and Malena Gordo, 8-4. But the Jacks (7-7, 3-0 SLC) took the doubles point with victories on the other two courts. Bugayenko and Margot de Haan topped Dollar and Melanie Marlin, 8-3, while Valeria Terentyeva and Laura Servise swept Natalia Dollar and Rachel Scroggs, 8-0.
SFA’s four singles wins all came in straight sets. Gordo knocked off Martin, 6-3, 6-2, for a top court win, and de Haan bested Marlin, 6-2, 6-0, on court three.
Both the fifth and sixth courts went to SFA by 6-0, 6-1 counts, with Terentyeva beating Natalia Dollar and Servise taking down Scroggs.
The Golden Eagles are back in action on Sunday morning, when they host Northwestern State at 9 am.
