TULSA, Okla. - Nate Goro had a solid day at the plate on Saturday afternoon, but it wasn't enough as the Oral Roberts fell to No. 8 Cal State Fullerton at home, 6-2.

Goro finished the afternoon with a pair of hits a walk and drove in a run in the third inning. It is his second consecutive multiple hit game as he was three for three on Friday evening.

Getting the start for the Golden Eagles on Saturday was senior Drew Bowen (0-2), earning the loss. Fullerton got to Bowen early in the contest with two runs in the top of the first. He went four innings and allowed three runs, two of which were earned, on four hits.

The Golden Eagles used six total pitchers in the contest, including Gavin Glanz (1.2 innings), Caleb Walker (0.0), Phillip Wilson (1.1), Jeff Gunter (0.2) and Denny Clement (1.1).

The loss drops the Golden Eagles' record to 5-12, while the Titans move their record to 14-3. It is ORU's eighth consecutive loss, setting a new mark for consecutive losses in school history.

Game three of the series is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Richy Pedroza started the game off with a bang for the Titans in the top of the first with a home run to opposite field as the ball came to a stop in the Golden Eagle bullpen. Carlos Lopez followed with a single, eventually advancing around on a stolen base, and ORU error and scoring two batters on a groundout by Michael Lorenzen.

After the Titans added a run off a Chad Wallach single that scored Lorenzen in the top of the third, the Golden Eagles got on the board for the first time in the bottom of the inning.

Austen Colt led the inning off with a single to right center. After moving to second on a groundout, and taking third on a balk, Goro singled to right to drive in Colt, cutting the Fullerton lead to 3-1.

Fullerton added runs in the fifth, seventh and eighth innings, including a Lopez blast off the ORU scoreboard in the eighth.

In the bottom of the ninth, the Golden Eagles threatened with a rally. Tyler Boss started the inning with a single to center, which was followed by a walk to Matt Brandy. Logan Domenico stepped in and hit one back to the pitch. In an attempt to turn a double play, the throw to second was sent into the outfield, allowing Boss to cross the plate.

Ultimately, the inning and game came to an end with Brandy standing on third and Domenico standing on second.
