Bonde and Talbert Punch Tickets to Eugene on Friday

Talbert, a senior from Newton, Kan., posted the second-best mark in the discus event with a throw of 54.54 meters. Talbert won three events at the Summit League Outdoor Championships and set three new school records.
Bonde raced to a ninth-place showing in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.42 to earn his way into the NCAA Championships. The junior from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, also came in 15th spot in the 200-meter dash (21.06) on Friday to qualify for the semifinals on Saturday. The top 12 finishers will advance to Eugene.
Freshman Jack Whitt (Norman, Okla.) placed 18th in the pole vault with a mark of 5.20 meters, while fellow newcomer Dustin Gehrke (Jay, Okla.) posted a 27th-place showing with a height of 5.10 meters.
Cornesha Wilkerson (Tulsa, Okla.) also competed on Friday, posting a time of 24.50 in the 200-meter dash to finish 35th.
