TULSA, Okla.-With one exhibition victory in hand, the Oral Roberts men's basketball team will return to the court as they face Oklahoma Wesleyan, Monday night at 7 p.m. in the Mabee Center. It will serve as the second of two exhibition contests before opening the season on the road at UTEP on November 9.
Monday's game will be broadcast live in the Tulsa area on KYAL-FM 97.1 "The Sports Animal." Free audio, and video through the ELIve subscription service, will be made available at www.ORUGoldenEagles.com.
ORU beat Missouri Southern 83-66 on Thursday night in the Mabee Center, led by a combined 43 points by juniors Shawn Glover and Steven Roundtree. Damen Bell-Holter controlled the glass with 15 rebounds, while Korey Billbury and D.J. Jackson each had three assists on the night.
Oklahoma Wesleyan was picked to finish fourth in the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference (NAIA). The two teams have met five times, including three consecutive years (2002, 2003, 2004). ORU has won all five official meetings, winning by an average of nearly 40 points, and have scored at least 100 points in all five contests. Being an exhibition, Monday's game will not count toward the all-time standings.
