Golden Eagles look to snap streak at Texas

TULSA, Okla. - The Oral Roberts baseball team is looking to snap a losing streak on Tuesday evening as they travel to Austin, Texas, to face Big 12 opponent Texas. First pitch of the contest is set for 6:30 p.m. and will be broadcast locally on the Sports Animal, as well as the Longhorn Network.

The Golden Eagles enter the mid-week contest on a five game losing skid after being swept at home by Dallas Baptist. Despite the three losses over the weekend, the Golden Eagles rattled off 32 hits in the series.

After a down year by Longhorn standards last season, Texas has started the 2013 season off with a 10-5 record. Last weekend, the Horns pulled off three straight victories at home against UC Santa Barbara.

On February 26, in a mid-week contest against Southland member Sam Houston State, the Horns fell to be the Bearkats, 5-3.

ORU will return home on Friday as they host No. 13 Cal State Fullerton at J.L. Johnson Stadium.
