FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.-Ninth-ranked Arkansas collected 15 hits and struck out 15 Oral Roberts batters in a 9-5 win over the Golden Eagles, Tuesday at Baum Stadium.

ORU (18-17) opened the scoring in the top of the second when Nick Baligod led off the inning with a solo home run, giving the Golden Eagles a 1-0 lead.

Arkansas (32-6) came right back when Brett Eibner belted the first of his two home runs on the night, a solo shot, knotting the score at 1-1.

Back-to-back solo home runs by Seth Furmanek and Brett Sowers in the fourth inning gave ORU a 3-1 lead, but it didn't last as Arkansas scored five runs in the bottom of the inning. Eibner connected for a two-run shot and Tim Carver followed with a two-run homer of his own three batters later. The final run scored on a single as Arkansas grabbed a 6-3 lead.

ORU answered with two runs in the top of the fifth, both scoring on a Jared Schlehuber two-run single as the Golden Eagles trimmed the lead to 6-5.

Arkansas added single runs in the fifth, sixth and seventh for a 9-5 lead, and the Razorbacks' bullpen made the lead stand up in sending ORU to its third straight loss.

Seth Furmanek paced ORU's 9-hit attack by going 2-for-4 with an RBI. No other Golden Eagle had more than one hit.

Jameson Dunn (1-1) suffered the loss, allowing five runs on six hits in two innings. Jeremy Heatley (5-0) picked up the win for the Razorbacks.

ORU hosts Western Illinois in a four-game Summit League series, beginning 7 p.m., Friday at J.L. Johnson Stadium.
