Reeves Earns Golfer of the Week Honors

ELMHURST, Ill. - IPFW's Jacob Groninger, IUPUI's Michael Davan and Oral Roberts' Crystal Reeves were named The Summit League's Golfers of the Week for their performances March 21-27.

FEMALE GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Crystal Reeves, Oral Roberts
Sr., (Broken Arrow, Okla./Broken Arrow)
Reeves records her sixth career Golfer of the Week award and second of the season after placing in a tie for second at the UALR Women's Golf Classic last week. She shot a 54-hole 217 (73-70-74) for a one-over par to lead the Golden Eagles in scoring for the fourth-straight tournament. Reeves also carded her third top-10 finish in a row and second top-two finish in as many tournaments.

Also nominated: Ashton Taft, IPFW; Jordan Essman, IUPUI; Taylor Fisher, UMKC; Amy Anderson, North Dakota State.

MALE GOLFERS OF THE WEEK
Jacob Groninger, IPFW
Fr., (Pendleton, Ind./Pendleton Heights)
Groninger earns his first career Golfer of the Week award after finishing in a tie for 15th place at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate. The freshman fired a three-round 219 (73-77-69) for a 73.0 stroke average in the tournament. His third-round 69 was the lowest round of the day in a field of 150 golfers from 28 schools including Missouri, UNC-Greensboro, Eastern Kentucky, Georgetown and Boston College.

Michael Davan, IUPUI
Sr., (Hoopeston, Ill./Parkland JC)
Davan collects his second award of the season after leading IUPUI to its fifth tournament title of the season, tying a school record. The senior finished in a tie for third place with a 36-hole 146 (75-71) for a 73.0 stroke average. It was Davan's seventh top-10 finish in nine tournament entries this year. IUPUI trailed by 14 shots entering the final round but rebounded to win the tournament by three strokes.
