The "Fan's Choice Award" goes beyond the stat sheet to honor and recognize college baseball players who are positive role models both on and off the field, exemplifying core values like teamwork and integrity, as well as the drive to win. Schlehuber helped lead the Golden Eagles to their 14th consecutive regular season title with a 17-6 league record. The first baseman did his part by leading the team in batting average (.325), home runs (12) and RBI (52) while playing in all 55 games. Schlehuber's dream is to play in the majors, but he is also an accomplished writer and would like to try his hand at sports journalism.

"The Fan's Choice Award" is the only college baseball award that is completely determined by fans.
