Schaffner Named MVP of All-State Match

BIXBY, Okla. - Oral Roberts University incoming freshman Sadie Schaffner earned Most Valuable Player honors at the OSSAA Large School All-State Volleyball Match, which was held on Tuesday. Schaffner tallied double-digit kills in leading the East team to a 25-14, 25-20, 25-15 victory.

Schaffner, a Bartlesville High School graduate, teamed with fellow incoming freshman Kylie Johnson, a Union High grad, to lead the East team to an easy victory. The duo previously teamed together at the club level for Club ONE Volleyball.

Both Schaffner and Johnson were OSSAA All-State selections as prep seniors in 2011. The incoming freshmen will make their collegiate debut on August 24, when the Golden Eagles face San Jose State at the UB Invitational in Buffalo, N.Y. First serve is set for 11 am CT.
