Natalia Dollar and the Golden Eagles fell to Northwestern State on Sunday

TULSA, Okla. - Oral Roberts University finished off a weekend of Southland Conference action on Sunday morning as they were swept, 7-0, by Northwestern State. The loss drops Beverly Dawson’s team to 1-8 (0-4 SLC)

Northwestern State (7-5, 2-1 SLC) opened the day by winning all three doubles matches. On the top court, Tatiana Larina and Andrea Nedorostova took an 8-2 victory over Haley Martin and Marizanne Bouwer. The second court belonged to Polina Konop and Natalya Krutova after their 8-5 win over Tori Dollar and Melanie Marlin, and the third court went to Amy Williams and Olga Leyshyna with an 8-6 victory over Natalia Dollar and Rachel Scroggs.

The Lady Demons won all six singles matches handily. Konop took the top flight match with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Martin, and Larina dropped Bouwer on court two with a 6-3, 6-2 victory.

On court three, Krutova defeated Marlin, 6-1, 7-5, and Nedorostova dropped Tori Dollar, 6-3, 6-0, in the fourth flight. On court five, Leyshyna bested Natalia Dollar, 6-1, 6-0, and Daniela Simonova ended the day with a 7-6, 6-2 victory over Scroggs.

The Golden Eagles will hit the road on Friday, March 29, when they face McNeese State. First serve in Lake Charles, La., is scheduled for 12 pm CT.
