Women conclude spring with free clinic; earn big victories
TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts women’s soccer program wraps up its spring schedule on Monday as they host a free clinic for area youth, ages six through 11, at the Case Soccer Complex.
Registration for the clinic starts at 5:30 p.m. with the event beginning at 6 and running through 7:30. For more information about the clinic, contact the women’s soccer office at 918.495.6195.
On the pitch, the Golden Eagle women had a successful campaign in spring action, including big victories over the weekend.
Much like she did during the regular season, Megan Giles lifted the Golden Eagles to a victory on Friday over Oklahoma, 1-0. Giles, who scored the lone goal in a regular season victory at OU, was assisted by Jennifer Abernathy.
Abernathy had the assist on Giles’ regular season goal as well.
The team continued their success in a pair of matches on Saturday, including a scoreless draw against the Razorbacks from Arkansas and another win against the Sooners in an abbreviated game, 1-0. Jordan Parsons had the big goal on Saturday while Ashley Martin had the helper.
