TULSA, Okla. – Rising junior goal keeper Helen Erb joined a group of Oral Roberts University students who went down to Moore, Okla., to help the areas affected by the recent tornadoes.
In addition to the manual labor of raking up debris, Erb and others helped build a roof for a family whose home had been destroyed. There was still plenty of time left to visit with the victims who are trying to rebuild their lives.
“We went down the streets and just handed out toiletry bags and different items for the families and handed out fruit snacks for the kids,” said Erb. “We were able to pray with some families and just show them God’s grace and God’s love. It was incredible to see such a disaster and it was heartbreaking.”
