TULSA, Okla. - Oral Roberts University ended the regular season with a sweep on Saturday afternoon, dispatching of the University of New Orleans, 3-0, on Senior Day at the Kenneth H. Cooper Aerobics Center. ORU (22-6, 14-4 Southland Conference) took the three sets by scores of 25-10, 26-24 and 25-15.

Prior to the match, ORU honored their senior class of Sthephanie Mab, Jessica Pancratz, Luara Rosa, Bruna Silva and Laura Taylor.

Sara Pope led the Golden Eagles with 11 kills and added 10 digs, while Silva posted a team-high 13 digs in her final home match. Fellow senior Taylor also had a great effort in her final home date, with 10 digs and 35 assists.

Taylor also set a career high with four service aces in her final home appearance.

ORU hit .262 as a team and held the Privateers (3-28, 0-18 SLC) to a .105 hitting percentage.

Taylor Berry led UNO with nine kills, while Celeste Ramirez had a double-double with 10 digs and 23 assists.

The 1st set went incredibly quickly for ORU after the Golden Eagles scored the first three points. ORU finished the period by scoring seven of the last eight points, with Caroline Arnould smashing a kill at set point to give ORU a 25-10 win.

The Privateers rallied in the 2nd set, however, and led throughout. UNO looked to be on the verge of tying the match when a block from Berry and Nandi Brown made the score 24-20. But ORU scored the final six points of the period, including three Sadie Schaffner kills, to take a 26-24 victory.

With the 2-0 lead in hand, ORU capitalized on the momentum to take an 8-1 3rd set lead on a Taylor kill. New Orleans never threatened in the set, and ORU clinched the match with a 25-15 victory.

Mab had three digs in her final home match, while Pancratz and Rosa had three kills each.

The Golden Eagles will hold either the third or fourth seed in the upcoming Southland Conference Tournament, which begins on Friday, November 22 in Corpus Christi, Texas. The draws will be announced later on Saturday afternoon.
