TULSA, Okla. – Jennifer Abernathy has added another honor for her work in the classroom as she was named a Second Team Scholar All-American midfielder by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

On Wednesday, Abernathy was named the women’s soccer Student-Athlete of the Year by the Southland Conference. She was also a First Team selection on the All-Southland and Academic All-Southland lists, as well as an NSCAA First Team All-Central Region honoree.

Abernathy closed her career at ORU as one of the most prolific players in program history. She finished fourth in the ORU record books with 21 goals, sixth with 17 assists and fifth with 59 points.
