John Joslin has been at ORU since 2008, and is in his sixth athletic season as the school's Director of Sports Medicine. Joslin supervises all athletic training and sports medicine efforts for each of ORU's 16 intercollegiate teams. During the winter season, Joslin travels with ORU's men's basketball team, and he is often present at ORU home events in every sport.
Joslin came to ORU after spending the previous three years as Head Athletic Trainer for the Tulsa 66ers of the NBA Developmental League.
A 1988 graduate of the University of Tulsa, Joslin worked at EOOC for 23 years, where was responsible for patient education, outreach programs for local high schools and contract event coverage. He also assisted athletic training students during clinical rotations.
Joslin gained valuable experience as Head Athletic Trainer for the Tulsa Ambush of the National Professional Soccer League from 1991-1992. He also served an internship with the NFL’s New England Patriots in 1986.
A member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and the former chairman of the Oklahoma Athletic Trainers Association (1997-2005), Joslin is certified by the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision, as well as the NATA.
Joslin has a daugther, Mikayla, a stepson, Brandon, and a grandaughter, Cheyenne.
