Women’s Golf Finishes Fifth at Sunflower Invitational

LAWRENCE, Kan.—Oral Roberts women’s golf team fired a final round 317 to finish fifth at the 12-team Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational, Tuesday Alvamar Golf Course.

The Golden Eagles finished tournament play at 929 (313-299-317). Kansas captured the team title after shooting 903 during its three rounds. The Jayhawks were followed by UALR (913), Kansas State (916), Nebraska (918) and ORU.

Juniors Crystal Reeves and Amber Hensley and freshman Alheli Moreno paced the Golden Eagles, finishing tied for 18th at 232. Reeves went 81-76-75, Hensley posted scores of 75-74-83 and Moreno carded rounds of 77-74-81.

Junior Kylie Bollenbach finished tied for 27th at 235 (80-75-80) and sophomore Eve Santillan finished tied for 50th at 247 (83-83-81).

Up next for the Golden Eagles is the Bob Hurley Auto Family ORU Shootout, Oct. 4-5 at Meadowbrook Golf Club in Tulsa.
