A senior at Union High School, Collier was the 6A state championship individual runner-up in 2009 and 2010. She is also a three-time Tulsa World all-city selection and was named the 2009 all-city Player of the Year.
“I’ve known Ashton since she was five years old,” said Watson. “I have always admired her work ethic, and she has steadily improved largely because she isn’t afraid of working. You don’t have to push Ashton to get better or work harder, she pushes herself.”
A four-time Oklahoma Junior Golf Association champion (2005, 2007, 2009, 2010), Collier also owns the course record of 67 at Willow Creek in Oklahoma City. She owns a remarkable record of eight career victories and 30 top 10 finishes in 31 career events.
“I think she’s the top senior in the state and I expect her to have a very successful senior year,” said Watson.”
Collier is a member of the National Honor Society and ranks in the top seven percent of her class of over 1,000 students.
