After opening with a 311 on Sunday, ORU rebounded with the second-best team score of the day to stand at 610 overall. Miami (Fla.), which shot a team-best 297 on Monday, holds the overall lead at 593 in the 33-team event.
Junior Amber Hensley turned in a strong effort for the Golden Eagles, shooting 73 and moving into a tie for 12th at 149. Hensley is nine strokes behind individual leader Sara Bejgrowicz (140) of Campbell.
Sophomore Tiffany Robbins carded a 76 and stands tied for 30th at 152 (76-76). Junior Crystal Reeves also carded a 76 and stands tied for 48th at 154 (78-76).
Sophomore Eve Santillan shot 74 and jumped 43 places into a tie for 52nd at 155 (81-74), while freshman Alheli Moreno finished with a 77, good for a tie for 74th at 158 (81-77).
The tournament concludes with 18 holes on Tuesday.
