Women’s Golf Three Shots off Lead at UALR

HOT SPRINGS, Ark.—Oral Roberts women’s golf team shot 609 over two rounds and sits three strokes out of first with one round remaining at the UALR Women’s Golf Classic, Monday at Diamante Country Club. ORU is seeking its third consecutive tournament victory.

The Golden Eagles opened with a 305 and closed with a 304 during the second round and are in fourth place in the 19-team field. ORU trials team leader Arkansas State (606).

Crystal Reeves, the defending tournament champion, leads ORU and is tied for 10th overall after shooting 150 (75-75). Florida International’s Laura Sempfle is the individual leader at 146.

Also playing well for ORU is Amber Hensley, who is tied for 12th at 151 (75-76). Eve Santillan is tied for 17th after shooting 152 (77-75).

Alheli Moreno is tied for 50th at158 (81-77), while Tiffany Robbins is tied for 76th at 163 (84-79).

The third and final round is scheduled for 8:30 a.m., Tuesday.
