Reeves, Hensley Lead ORU to Third Straight Tournament Title

HOT SPRINGS, Ark.—Crystal Reeves and Amber Hensley each finished in the top 10 and Oral Roberts fired a final round 294 as the Golden Eagles captured the team championship at the UALR Women’s Golf Classic, Tuesday at Diamante Country Club. The team victory is the third straight for the Golden Eagles.
Trailing by three strokes entering the last 18 holes, ORU bested the field by three strokes and finished tournament play at 903 (305-304-294), winning by two strokes over Missouri State.
Reeves, the defending tournament champion, finished tied for second after finishing tournament play 4-over par 220 (75-75-70). Florida International’s Laura Stempfle captured individual medalist honors by shooting 219.
Hensley finished tied for eight at 224 (76-75-73), her fifth top 10 finish of the season. Eve Santillan finished tied for 23rd at 228 (77-75-76).
Alheli Moreno tied for 57th by shooting 237 (77-81-79), and Tiffany Robbins tied for 64th at 238 (84-79-75).
The Golden Eagles next compete at the Baylor Spring Invitational, April 11-12 in Waco, Texas, their final tune-up before the Summit League Championships April 18-19.
