Women's Golf Sent to NCAA West Regional

TULSA-- Oral Roberts University women's golf team is heading to Washington state for the NCAA West Regional, May 4-7 at Washington National Golf Club in Auburn, it was announced during a conference call on Monday.

The Golden Eagles, who recently captured their 14th consecutive Summit League championship - the longest streak in women;s golf history - are making their 11th straight regional appearance. Top-ranked USC headlines a field which includes fellow Top 25 schools Virginia (6), Arizona (7), Georgia (12), Tennessee (13), Pepperdine (19) and UC-Davis (23).

Rounding out the field are Iowa State, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Washington, Tulsa, Denver, San Diego State, BYU, New Mexico, UTSA, Portland, New Mexico State, San Jose State and UTEP.

Head coach Lance Watson's Golden Eagles are led by junior Crystal Reeves (Broken Arrow, Okla.), a 2011 first-team All-Summit League selection. Reeves, who owns a 75.6 stroke average, has enjoyed five consecutive top ten finishes, including fifth at the Summit League Championships last week.
