PRIMM, Nev.-With scores elevated on Tuesday, the ORU women's golf team shot 322 and finished runner-up the 3rd Annual Jackrabbit Invitational at 938, three shots back of Arkansas State, who claimed the team title.
The runner-up finish is the best finish of the year, and all five ORU golfers finished in the top-25 for the first time this season.
Alheli Moreno had the best round of the day for ORU with a 77, but it was Crystal Reeves who held the top spot for the Golden Eagles, finishing tied for seventh with a total score of 231. It is her fourth top-10 finish of the season. Moreno finished with a 236, tying for 14th overall, while Kylie Bollenbach and Tiffany Robbins tied for 16th, one shot back at 237 after shooting 81 and 85, respectively, on Tuesday. Eve Santillan finished with an 84 in the third round and a 242 final score, tying for 25th overall.
ORU will hope to continue their strong play with a quick turnaround. They will stay in Nevada to play the Bucknell Women's Golf Invitational in Las Vegas, beginning Friday, March 16.
