LITTLE ROCK, Ark.-For the second tournament in a row, the Oral Roberts women's golf team holds the 36-hole lead as the Golden Eagles hold a four-shot lead over Tulsa and Louisiana-Monroe after day one of the UALR Women's Golf Classic.
After posting the best round of the year and just their second round under 300, the first since the Dale McNamara to open the Fall season on September 13, the Golden Eagles held a two-shot lead after the first round. ORU shot a 301 in the second round giving them a 596 team score for day one and not only held onto its lead, but extended it to four shots over Tulsa and ULM (600).
Crystal Reeves shot a two-under 70 in the second round giving her a day one total of 143 (73-70, -1) and is in the lead as the only individual under par after the first day. As expected, Reeves is in the top five in par 4 scoring (E), birdies (7) and par 5 scoring (-2) for the tournament. Kylie Bollenbach also had a 70 on Monday, shooting that in the first round, and had a 78 in the second round, giving her a 148 for the day which ties her with Tiffany Robbins (75-73) at +4.
The third and final round will be played on Tuesday morning from Diamante Country Club. ORU is looking for its second victory in as many tournaments and the third-straight finish inside the top two.
