LITTLE ROCK, Ark.-Scores were extremely low in the final round of the UALR Women's Classic, and although Oral Roberts shot a respectable 304, they dropped into a tie for fifth with host UALR at 900 (295-301-304). UTEP stormed past the field with a tournament-low 293 in the final round to take the team championship by one shot.
Crystal Reeves continued to lead the way for ORU and finished tied for second overall with a 217 (73-70-74, +1). It is her second top-2 finish in as many weeks. Reeves was second in the field in par 5 scoring at 4.75 (-3) for the tournament, and tied for fourth with 37 pars for her tournament.
Kylie Bollenbach finished tied for 17th with a three-round total of 224 (70-78-76, +8), while Tiffany Robbins was three-shots back with a 79 on Tuesday and a 227 (75-73-79, +11) for the tournament, tying for 30th.
Alheli Moreno recovered from a tough first day and shot 75 in the final round, tying for 49th with a 232 (77-80-75, +16), while Ashton Collier's 81 on Tuesday gave her 247 for the tournament (82-84-81, +31), tying her for 93rd overall.
With their seventh top-10 finish as a team in nine tournaments this year, the UALR Women's Classic served as the final tune up for the Golden Eagles before the Summit League Conference Championship on April 16-17 in Primm, Nev.
