Golden Eagles 24th After Round 1 at NCAA East Regional

STATE COLLEGE, Pa.-It wasn't the start Oral Roberts was hoping for as the women's golf team shot 327 in the first round of the 2012 NCAA East Regional, finishing the day in 24th at the Penn State Golf Course, Thursday.

Alheli Moreno led the way for ORU with a 78 in the first round, tying for 72nd overall. Coming off her best tournament of the year at the Summit League Championship, Tiffany Robbins shot an 80 to finish second on the team and tied for 99th overall.

Crystal Reeves carded an 84 (T-116th), while Ashton Collier finished one shot back at 85 (120th). Kylie Bollenbach rounded out the ORU finishers with an 87 in the first round, tying her for 121st.

The Golden Eagles will remain paired with Jacksonville State and LIU Brooklyn, and will be the second group off the first tee on Friday. Bollenbach will lead the team out at 8:25, while Moreno will be the last ORU golfer off the tee at 9:09.
