Women's Golf Moves up to 23rd after Two Rounds at NCAA East Regional
STATE COLLEGE, Pa.-The Oral Roberts women's golf team dropped 12 shots off its team score in the second round, overtaking LIU Brooklyn for 23rd overall after shooting 315, Friday. The Golden Eagles have a team score of 642 (327-315, +66) with one round to play at the NCAA East Regional at the Penn State Golf Course.
Kylie Bollenbach had the best round of the day, but it is Alheli Moreno who continues to lead the team. Moreno matched yesterday's 78 to finish with a two-day total of 156 (78-78, +12) and sits in a tie for 84th overall. Tiffany Robbins also remained consisted, shooting a +8, 80 for the second day in a row. Robbins' 160 (80-80, +16) has her in a tie for 103rd.
Bollenbach (87-77, +20) dropped 10 shots off her Thursday score, shooting +5 77 on Friday, the best round by an ORU golfer so far in the tournament. She sits in a tie with teammate Crystal Reeves (84-80, +20), who dropped four shots with a +8 80 on Tuesday, and the duo is tied for 116th with a 164.
Ashton Collier improved one shot to card an 84 (+12) on Tuesday, finishing with a 36-hole score of 169 (85-84, +25), 122nd overall.
The Golden Eagles will remain paired with Jacksonville State and LIU Brooklyn for the third and final round, teeing off the 10th tee from 12:55-1:39 (Eastern).
