STATE COLLEGE, Pa.-The Oral Roberts women's golf team saved its best for last as the Golden Eagles carded a 310, their best round of the tournament, but held steady in 23rd place with a 54-hole score of 952 (327-315-310, +88).
South Carolina won the team championship with a final score of 873 (288-294-291, +9), while Katerine a Ruzickova of Texas A&M took home the individual title, finishing at -3, 213 (67-73-73) for the tournament.
Alheli Moreno continued to lead the team as the sophomore carded an even-par 72 on Saturday. It was the lowest round of the tournament by an ORU golfer, and six shots better than her 78 on Friday. Moreno tied for 65th at 228 (78-78-72, +12).
For the second tournament in a row, Tiffany Robbins finished in the top-2 for ORU, improving one stroke on Saturday for a 79 (80-80-79, 239 +23). Robbins tied for 104th overall, up 19 spots from where she finished in last year's NCAA West Regional.
Kylie Bollenbach shot a 76 on Saturday as she too saved her best round for the final round, finishing the tournament one shot back of Robbins despite a rocky first round. Bollenbach tied for 108th overall with a final score of 240 (87-77-76, +24).
Ashton Collier had the next best score on Saturday for ORU with an 83, but it was Crystal Reeves who finished fourth on the team to round out the scoring. Reeves shot 85 on Saturday, finishing the tournament at 249 (84-80-85, +33) in a tie for 117th, while Collier's 252 (85-84-83, +36) tied her for 121st.
With only the top eight teams advancing to the NCAA Championship, the Golden Eagles' season comes to a close after the 12th straight NCAA Regional appearance, and the 15th consecutive Summit League Championship.
