Golf Spends Time With Down Syndrome Association of Tulsa
TULSA, Okla.-Knowing it's just a matter of days until things pick up around campus, ORU golf coaches Lance Watson and Jennifer Tannehill and local players got to work early, spending their day at Meadowbrook Country Club working with nearly 60 kids who have down syndrome.
The clinic was part of the Down Syndrome Association of Tulsa Golf Tournament, which was also hosted at Meadowbrook.
"It is just such a joy to be able to spend time with these special kids," said Watson. "I'm glad that we had an opportunity to give back by doing what we love."
In addition to the large turnout by the kids, the clinic was also visited by Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett.
