ELMHURST, Ill. –The Oral Roberts University men’s soccer team was tabbed to finish seventh this season in the Summit League, according to the conference coaches, as the league released the preseason coaches’ poll.
ORU finished last season in the same position at the end of the 2012 season with a 2-5 conference record and 4-13 overall mark.
Sitting at the top of the coaches’ poll was first-year member Denver with 35 points and five first place votes, while defending champion Western Illinois was a close second with 31 points and two votes.
IUPUI, Omaha, Fort Wayne and Eastern Illinois occupy the third through sixth spots, respectively.
The Golden Eagles are back in action on Tuesday evening as they host John Brown at 6 p.m. in an exhibition match at the Case Soccer Complex, following by an exhibition match on Friday at home against Northeastern State at 7 p.m.
