CONWAY, Ark. – The Oral Roberts University men’s soccer team controlled the ball much of the contest, but Central Arkansas made its opportunity count as the Bears took down the Golden Eagles in Conway, Ark., 1-0.

ORU fell to 0-3 this season, while the Bears moved to 2-1.

The lone goal of the match came in the 31st minute as Logan Miller blasted the ball into the back of the net from 25 yards out on a free kick.

Of the seven shots the Golden Eagles took in the match, four were on target. Gerardo Salas had a team-high two shots on goal, while Johnny Chavez and Griffith Poindexter each had clean looks.

Both keepers in the contest, ORU’s Ben LaCourse and UCA’s Taran Meyer, recorded four saves on the night.

Up next for the Golden Eagles is the back end of their weekend road trip as they head east to Memphis on Sunday for a 1 p.m. showdown with the Tigers.
