HOUSTON, Texas – The Oral Roberts University men’s soccer team saw its four-match unbeaten streak come to an end on Tuesday as they fell for the second time this season to Houston Baptist, 2-0.
ORU dropped its record to 3-5-1 on the season while the Huskies improved to 5-2-0 with their fourth straight victory. Earlier this season, the Huskies topped the Golden Eagles at the Case Soccer Complex in double-overtime, 2-1.
Tobenna Uzo continued to be a thorn in the side of the Golden Eagle defense, scoring both goals for the Huskies on Tuesday. In the 27th minute, Patrick Toh sent a corner kick into the box, setting up Uzo who converted the goal. Six minutes later, Uzo out ran the ORU defense for an unassisted goal.
Uzo and Toh also hooked up for a goal in the first matchup at the Case Soccer Complex.
ORU will have an 11 day break before their next match on October 12 against Summit League foe Western Illinois at the Case Soccer Complex at 7 p.m.
