Golden Eagles Suffer Home Loss to Green Bay, 3-1

TULSA-Three different players scored goals as Green Bay downed Oral Roberts, 3-1, Sunday at ORU Soccer Complex.

The Golden Eagles (2-3-0) suffered their third straight loss. Green Bay improved to 2-2-0.

Sam Krenzien opened the scoring for the Phoenix, rebounding in a miss by J.C. Banks in the 14th minute.

David Bernhardsson gave Green Bay a 2-0 lead in 30th minute when he scored on a scramble in front of the goal.

Banks extended the lead to 3-0 when he scored from the left side off an assist by Krenzien in the 57th minute.

Kalen Ryden scored the lone goal for ORU when he dribbled through the defense and found the right corner with just over 30 seconds to play.

Green Bay dominated ORU, getting 19 shots to 12 for the Golden Eagles. The Phoenix also managed 10 shots on goal to just three for ORU.

ORU goalkeeper Andrew Techanchuk made seven saves.

The Golden Eagles next visit Denver, 8 p.m., Friday.
