Techanchuk Named Summit League Defensive Player of the Week

Oral Roberts senior goalkeeper Andrew Techanchuk (Tulsa, Okla.) has been named Summit League Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.

Techanchuk collects his fourth career honor and first this season after recording a 2-0 shutout over then league-leading IUPUI. In the match, Techanchuk collected six saves to increase his season total to 53 and lowered his goals against average to 1.83 on the year. It was also his third shutout this season, tied for second in the league and the 11th of his career.

Techanchuk and the Golden Eagles (3-6-2 overall, 1-1-1 Summit) return to action when they visit Western Illinois, 3 p.m., Friday.
