Men’s Soccer Gains OT Win at Western Illinois, 2-1

The goal, Vining’s first of the season, came on an 18-yard shot at 99:25. The win improves ORU’s record to 4-6-4 overall and 2-1-1 in Summit play.
Oskar Gasecki started the scoring early for the Leathernecks (3-6-4, 1-2-1) when he found the back of the net in the fourth minute for a 1-0 lead. Adam Rappin and Kooten Johnson were credited with assists.
ORU freshman Daniel Premenko scored the equalizer for the Golden Eagles in the 72nd minute. His goal came courtesy of an assist by John David James.
Andrew Techanchuk made only one save as the Golden Eagle defense limited Western Illinois to just two shots on goal.
The Golden Eagles return to action when they host Marshall, 12 noon, Sunday at ORU Soccer Complex.
