Premenko Named Summit League Player of the Week

TULSA—Oral Roberts freshman Daniel Premenko (Denton, Texas) has been named Summit League Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.

Premenko scored his first two career goals and led a defensive effort that allowed just two goals in 200 minutes as ORU went 1-0-1 during the week. In the Golden Eagles’ 2-1 victory at Western Illinois, Premenko scored the tying goal in the 72nd minute of the comeback win.

Against Marshall, Premenko scored the first goal of the match by heading a corner kick into the net in an eventual 2-2 tie. Premenko and the ORU defense has allowed just two goals (one opponent score was an own goal) over its last four matches.

The Golden Eagles next face Houston Baptist, 7 p.m., Thursday in Houston, Texas.
