FT. WAYNE, Ind.—In its final tune-up before Summit League Tournament play begins next weekend, Oral Roberts closed out the regular season with a 1-1 tied with IPFW, Saturday at Hefner Stadium.

Junior Jarrett Hamilton put ORU (5-7-5, 2-1-3) on the board first, scoring in the 13th minute on a give-and-go play with Sterling Copeland as the Golden Eagles seized an early 1-0 lead.

The Mastodons responded in the 24th minute when Chris Moreno found the back of the net, knotting the game at 1-1.

Neither team scored again as both defenses held firm over the final 85 minutes. ORU senior goalkeeper Andrew Techanchuk made 13 saves while IPFW keeper Donovan Dowling made five saves.

Up next for ORU is the Summit League Tournament, Nov. 12 and 14 in Rochester, Mich. Pairings and seeds will be announced next week.
