Whitt Named USTFCCCA All-American

NEW ORLEANS, La.-The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association has announced the 2013 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field All-Americans, based on their performances at the Indoor Track & Field Championships. The list of 288 men and 266 women who earned the honor included ORU's Jack Whitt, who finished as the runner-up in the men's pole vault competition.

Whitt claimed his sixth NCAA All-American honor and seventh USTFCCCA honor, having never finished lower than sixth when he has qualified for the NCAA championships. The runner-up finish was his second at an NCAA event, and an improvement from his third-place finish at the indoor championships a year ago.

During the indoor season, Whitt also set a new school, Southland Conference, and OU facility record during the 2013 SLC Championships in Norman.
