ORU Track & Field Program to Host “Vaultin’ for Moore” Fundraiser
FRISCO, Texas –The day after a devastating tornado ripped through Moore, Okla., the Oral Roberts University Track & Field program has announced that it will host a fundraiser to help in the aid and recovery efforts. The “Vaultin’ for Moore” fundraiser will be held inside the H.A. Chapman Indoor Practice Facility on ORU’s campus on Saturday, June 1 at 1 p.m.
Similar to the Vaultober event that is held each year at ORU, “Vaultin’ for Moore” will be a fun exhibition-style competition, and will feature some of the premier pole vaulters in the Midwest, including 2012 NCAA National Champion Jack Whitt and Meet of Champions record holder Tommy Dial.
T-Shirts will be for sale for $20, and money will be raised through entry fees and other donation options. All proceeds will be given directly to the Oklahoma Red Cross. There will also be a raffle featuring memorabilia, and the team will be collecting food and other needed household items. Registration is $25 per vaulter and registration will begin at 11 a.m.
