ELMHURST, Ill. - Oral Roberts' Jack Whitt was named Summit League Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week for his performance during the week of April 5-11. Whitt garners his second straight Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honor and the fifth of his career after winning the pole vault at the Texas Relays.

The Norman, Oklahoma native won his second consecutive pole vault in as many weeks with a personal best, school record and the number one national mark with a height of 18'4.5" (5.60m), four inches better than second. Whitt topped his personal best, school record and the top national mark he set the previous week at the Texas Tech Invitational.

ORU track and field will be back in competition on Saturday, April 16 at the University of Oklahoma.
