Jack Whitt wins Outdoor Pole Vault at UTEP

El Paso, Texas -All-American Jack Whitt won his first Pole Vault event of the outdoor season at Kidd Field in the UTEP Springtime Classic on Saturday.
The three time All-American jumped 5.50 meters (18'0"), beating out second place finisher Jeremy Doddgridge from Texas Tech. Whitt won his fifth even of 2012, and his first since the Summit League Indoor Championships on February 27.
Tim Jones II also finished third in the triple jump with a mark of 14.36 meters. Jones was the only other Golden Eagles who finished in the top three at the UTEP Springtime.
