Radcliff Shatters Record at Stanford Meet
PALO ALTO, Calif.-The only competitor from ORU, senior Kristen Radcliff bested her own school record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase by more than 40 seconds, finishing second in her heat last Friday finishers at the Stanford Invitational at the Stanford Cobb Track and Angell Field.
Radcliff's time of 10:23.94 put her second in her heat of the race, and is the fastest time in the Summit league this year. Her time also ranks her 11th in the west region and 29th overall in the country. The mark shattered her previous record of 11:12.37, which she ran at the John McDonnell Invitational on April 18, 2009.
The whole ORU team will be back in action on Saturday, April 14 as they travel to Lubbock, Texas, for the Texas Tech Invitational.
