KANSAS CITY, Mo.-The Oral Roberts University men’s golf team dropped 13 shots and posted one of the best rounds of the tournament to finish the day seventh overall at the 2013 Bill Ross Intercollegiate, Monday.
After 36 holes, Central Arkansas leads the team race at 579 (289-290) on the par-72 course, while ORU sits at 595 (304-291), three shots back of Northern Iowa (296-296-592).
Blake Brorman led the way with a pair of rounds under par shooting 71-71 for a 36-hole total of 142, tying for third overall. Scott Newell recovered from a first-round 77 to shoot 73 in round two, tying for 30th at 150.
Parker Dolezel (77-75) and Will Paulsell (79-73) each shot 152 for the day and are tied for 43rd overall, while Anthony Skink dropped six shots between rounds, finishing at 154 (80-74) to tie for 57th. It is Paulsell’s first tournament of the season.
The third and final round will begin at 8 a.m. on Tuesday from the Milburn Golf and Country Club.
