LINCOLN, Neb.—Oral Roberts men’s golf team fired an overall score of 611 to finish in 11th place at the weather-plagued Fairway Club Invitational, which concluded on Tuesday at Arbor Links.

Rain, lightning and poor course conditions delayed play so severely during Monday’s two rounds that tournament officials cancelled the tournament following the conclusion of the second round. UMKC (576) won the team championship and Nebraska’s Mike Coatman (141) captured individual medalist honors.

Sophomore Jake Spencer led ORU, shooting 150 (79-17) and finishing tied for 30th. Garrett Moore, a senior, carded a 151 (78-73) and finished tied for 35th.

Shannon Allen finished at 155 (75-80) which left him tied for 54th and freshman Billy Barber shot 158 (78-80), tying for 64th. Junior Bryan Boaz (162) came in 69th.

Up next for the Golden Eagles is the Kansas Invitational, Sept. 20-21 in Lawrence, Kan.
