LAWRENCE, Kan.-Oral Roberts men's golf team shot a two-round 589 (287-302) and is fifth with one round remaining at the Kansas Invitational, Monday at Alvamar Golf Course.
The Golden Eagles, who led after one round of play, trail team leader Nebraska (578) by 11 strokes. Oklahoma City (581), Missouri State (585) and UMKC (586) round out the team top five in the 15-team tournament.
ORU's Jake Spencer is tied for fifth individually after shooting 1-under 143 (72-71). Spencer is tied with five others and trails individual leader Scott Willman of Nebraska (140) by three strokes.
For the Golden Eagles, Garrett Moore is tied for 21st at 147 (70-77) while David Holtgrewe is tied for 30th at 149 (71-78).
Shannon Allen is tied for 35th at 150 (74-76), and Billy Barbour is tied for 85th at 162 (76-86).
The third and final round begins 8:30 a.m., Tuesday.
