Men's Golf Finishes Ninth at Kansas Invitational

The Golden Eagles finished tournament play at 891 (287-302-302), just five strokes out of fifth place. Oklahoma City grabbed the team championship by shooting 865. Rounding out the top five were Nebraska (876), UMKC (878), Missouri State (880) and Louisiana-Monroe (885).
Jake Spencer led ORU individually, finishing tied for 15th after shooting 220 (71-72-77) for the tournament. ULM’s Gustaf Kocken won individual medalist honors after shooting 212.
Shannon Allen enjoyed a strong showing for ORU, finishing tied for 20th at 221 (74-76-71). Garrett Moore tied for 35th at 225 (70-77-78), while David Holtgrewe finished 44th at 227 (71-78-78). Billy Barbour completed play tied for 79th at 238 (76-86-76).
The Golden Eagles continue their fall schedule when they host the ORU Shootout presented by the Bob Hurley Auto Family, Sept. 27-28 at Golf Club of Oklahoma in Broken Arrow.
