Men's Golf 12th at Bill Ross Intercollegiate

KANSAS CITY, Mo.-Oral Roberts men's golf team is 12th after one round of play at the UMKC Bill Ross Intercollegiate, which began Monday at Blue Hills Country Club.

Second round play was suspended due to darkness after weather delayed play on two separate occasions. Most players have between four and six holes remaining and will also play a full 18 holes for round three on Tuesday.

The Golden Eagles shot 312 during first round play and trail team leader UMKC (291) by 21 strokes.

Sophomore David Holtgrewe topped the Golden Eagles during the first round, shooting a 76. Kyle Spencer fired a 77 and Jake Spencer recorded a 79.

Shannon Allen carded an 80 for ORU and Bryan Boaz shot 83.

Play resumes at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
