TULSA, Okla.-The Golden Eagle men's golf team will start the spring season on Monday at the Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational, hosted by Southern Utah at Sunbrook Golf Club in St. George, Utah.
The 36-hole tournament will have 18 holes each on Monday, February 13 and Tuesday, February 14. The tournament field has 14 teams including ORU and the hosts from Southern Utah. Also competing in the tournament are: Boise State, Cal Poly, Cal State Bakersfield, Cal State Fullteron, Cal State Northridge, College of Charleston, Dixie State, Seattle, Utah State, Utah Valley, Weber State and Western Illinois.
Dixie State won the 2011 edition of the Pat Hicks, posting a team score of 6-under par (570) last year.
