PRIMM, Nev.-The Oral Roberts men's golf team finished the day at even par (576) and sit in fourth place, one shot back of UMKC, with one round to play in the 3rd Annual Jackrabbit Invitational at Primm Valley Golf Club.
The Golden Eagles shot a -3 (285) for the first round and sat in third place overall. A +3 (291) in round two dropped them just one spot. After a -12 in the first round, Idaho grabbed the team lead at -15 (561).
Shannon Allen had a -3, 69 in the first round, and a 73 in round two, giving him a 142 for the tournament, tying for ninth overall. Jake Spencer's 70-73-143 put him one shot back in a tie for 12th. Scott Newell improved from a first-round 73 to shoot one-under 71 in the second round. His 144 two-round score places him in a tie for 17th overall, while Trevor McInroe shot 73-74-147 to tie for 32nd. Bryan Boaz also improved in the second round after shooting 77 in the first round. Boaz shot 74 in the second round, giving him a two-round total of 151 to tie for 52nd overall.
