Men's Golf Faces Final Test Before Conference at Mizzou Intercollegiate
TULSA, Okla.-The Oral Roberts men's golf team will travel to the Columbia Orthopaedic Group Mizzou Intercollegiate on April 9-10 in the final tune up before the 2012 Summit League Championship. The 54-hole tournament will be held at The Club at Old Hawthorne in Columbia, Mo.
The Golden Eagles will face off against 14 other teams, including Summit League opponents IUPUI and South Dakota State. Missouri, Nebraska, Wisconsin and Purdue are also in the field.
The teams will take to the par-72, 7,221-yard course for two rounds on Monday and the final round on Tuesday. ORU will tee it up with Creighton and Belmont for the first two rounds.
ORU has had five different people lead the team this year, doing so in each of the last five tournaments. Most recently, Scott Newell led the way in team scoring, but Shannon Allen, who played as an individual, shot a 69 in the second round to card the highest finish (T15th).
